...Colin Turkington To Race BMW GT4 in British GT
Four-time British Touring Car Champion Colin Turkington is set to make a headline-grabbing return to full-time racing in 2026, embarking on an exciting new chapter in the prestigious British GT Championship.
After a year away from the spotlight, Turkington will swap his championship-winning touring car for a stunning BMW M4 GT4, entering the ultra-competitive GT4 class in a Flexifly-backed programme that signals the start of a bold new era in his illustrious career.
The move marks a historic first for both Turkington and his long-time team, West Surrey Racing (WSR). While the pairing has enjoyed immense success together in the British Touring Car Championship, securing multiple titles and countless race victories, 2026 will see them tackle GT racing for the very first time.
The ambitious programme has been brought together by fellow Northern Irishman Ernie Graham and Flexifly, forming what Turkington describes as his “dream team.” With WSR’s proven engineering excellence and the BMW M4 GT4 platform beneath him, the 42-year-old will be targeting success from the outset in one of Britain’s premier endurance racing series.
We are proud to support Turkington throughout this exciting new venture. As a sponsor of Colin Turkington, FUEL play a key role in backing one of the UK’s most decorated racing drivers as he takes on a fresh challenge and expands his racing legacy into GT competition.

The 2026 British GT Championship begins at Silverstone on April 25th with a three-hour feature race, before concluding at Brands Hatch on September 26th and 27th for the season finale. Turkington and Graham will begin pre-season testing in the WSR-run BMW M4 GT4 next month, ahead of the official Championship launch event at Silverstone on Tuesday, March 31st.
With a proven champion, an experienced title-winning team, and the backing of partners including FUEL and Flexifly, all eyes will be on Turkington as he launches this exciting new chapter in British motorsport.
