AES has grown organically, by exceeding customer expectations on functionality, quality and delivery. As a result of this success, more accurate scheduling and monitoring of production and materials were required. This solution was needed to control the job line as well as the expanding production floor, due to their rapid business growth. In the past, raw materials were ordered based on management say-so and customer demand, which lead to deterioration of goods, overstocking and stock and financial loss. AES knew that to continue on their current path of growth, a more accurate materials planning solution would also be required.
#02KEY BUSINESS BENEFITS
After consultation AES found with the were happiest with the functionality and design of SAGE 50 screens and they wished their new system to be developed on this. With the AES business-specific challenges in mind, FUEL designed and developed a solution based on the Sage Manufacturing software due to the level of functionality and commonality. FUEL software consultants designed and built a bespoke product that helped to reduce the software AES training, streamlining their procedures and business capital as well as protecting their production line should any problems arise with their supply chain.
FUEL has a reputation and expertise with bespoke manufacturing solutions which are customisable to each of our client’s business challenges and requirements.
The AES solution needed to be scalable for a growing business in corresponding markets, and using AES’s existing SAGE 50 back office package, FUEL designed and developed a bespoke solution using SAGE Manufacturing. The new software would offer an overarching view and control of production planning, monitoring their manufacturing systems and provide an option to further computerise their shop floor with data capture.
Engaging with FUEL who valued and built on our previous Sage system, enabled us to have our Manufacturing solution up and running quicker and more efficiently than we envisaged at the beginning of the project. This has provided us with more time to focus on our business growth and work in new markets.
