Turkington wins at Thruxton and races home to help with the launch of “FUEL”

British Touring Car Champion Colin Turkington, one of the favourites for this year’s British Touring Car Championship, has flown back to Belfast to join FUEL at a very special launch event on Tuesday 6th May.

Fresh from winning round 9 of the championship at Thruxton at the weekend, Colin will be appearing at a special VIP event to celebrate the launch of the new FUEL brand.

Colin Turkington said “Having raced all over the world, I know what it takes to be the best. The team at FUEL are true experts in their field and I am delighted to be able to fulfil my commitment to the directors and attend the launch event.”

Colin will be putting guests through their paces on a slightly smaller track than he is used to…a Scalextric track!

“I’ll be racing a scale model of the car I usually drive, the 2009 championship BMW 3 Series. It might be a Scalextric track but I’ll be racing as competitively as I always do. See you on the track!” concluded Colin.

Colin will then join the VIP guests at the Eddie Irvine “Room 2 Race” venue where racing round the likes of Brands Hatch and Donington on the new Hi Tech virtualized racing machines will be a fitting end to a High Performance and highly charge evening.
