...FUEL are delighted with the news that SAP and Apple are joining forces
SAP have just announced that they have agreed to join forces in a formal partnership with Apple. The link-up will help Apple to be in the mind set of business executives and place them in the position of a serious corporate technology supplier.
It will see business software giant SAP building corporate apps for Apple’s mobile devices such as the iPhone and iPad. SAP have also said they’ll provide the necessary software kits for corporate programmers to develop their own custom apps for their companies. The new software developer’s toolkit will give access to the corporate software powered by SAP’s HANA database.
This news could mean a total transformation in how business executives use their mobile devices to carry out normal everyday business while on the go. It will see a marriage between Apple’s innovation and security of their iOS and the vast expertise of SAP’s business software.
Apple see SAP as the ideal business partner with 76% of business transactions reportedly touching an SAP system. Apple will see this partnership as a great opportunity to sell more of its devices to corporate customers. Apple have stressed that they do not have the expertise of selling to corporate clients that the likes of SAP have in abundance.
SAP CEO Bill McDermott said “We’re proud to take this special partnership between Apple and SAP to a ground breaking new place.”
