BMW UK returns to the British Touring Car Championship to partner WSR after a 21 year absence as a Manufacturer Works Team.

BMW UK are partnering the West Surrey Racing (WSR) team for the 2017 Championship, bringing with them a significant investment to fund technical advancements throughout the car.

It was 21 years ago since BMW last contested the BTCC, in the form of a trio of BMW 320i cars, with BMW Team Schnitzer. This announcement also marks it a decade, since WSR first contested the BTCC with BMW, which has continued to this day.

Our own FUEL Brand Ambassador, Colin Turkington, is delighted about returning to WSR with a much closer relationship with BMW UK. Colin believes this highly successful team of drivers and engineers, has also received a motivation boost with this partnership.

No doubt Colin, who always goes about his business and preparation with “High Performance” professionalism, will apply himself to deliver more success for himself and Team BMW.
